33 arrests were made overnight in Nice from Saturday to Sunday (719 nationally) as authorities continue to battle riots following the death of the teenage driver in Nanterre last Tuesday. Two cars were set alight in Nice and wheelie bins were burned in Nice, Grasse and Beausoleil. One shop in the centre of Nice, K-Way, was looted and Mayor Estrosi promised that parents will pay for the damage. 45,000 police and gendarmes were deployed again overnight from Sunday to Monday across France.
