Configuring on-chain assets in a token economy

The token economy, which provides the foundation for assets and cash on the blockchain, can be seen as part of the internet’s evolution since the early 1990s. Slow initial user adoption was characteristic of both Web 1.0 and Web 2.0. A similar trajectory awaits Web 3.0, the era of the token economy, where on top of writing and reading, the functionalities of ‘own’ and ‘execute’ will be implemented.
