On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, the Ordinary General Meeting of the Chios Marine Club was held, in Piraeus Club’s ΄΄Stamatios Masias Restis” Room on the ninth floor overlooking the Port of Piraeus.
The President of Chios Marine Club, Capt. Antonis Pitsilos, addressed the attending Members and then presented the Actions – Accomplishments of the Club for the year 2024. The Report of the Audit Committee as well as the Financial Management Report for the same period, were presented by the Treasurer of the Club, Panagiotis Kamarados. All of the above were unanimously approved by the participants.
Subsequently, specific proposals for amendments to the Club’s statutes were put forward, such as, for example, the right of the Board of Directors to propose to the General Assembly to declare Honorary Presidents, those who donate an amount of 30,000.00 Euros and above to the Chios Nautical Club. The presentation of the Amendments to the Statutes was attended by Lawyer and Member of our Club, Georgios Chloros.
Proposals were also discussed for improving the organization of the Club’s events, social events, lectures, presentations with the aim of increasing the participation of New Members in the Club’s events. Proposals were made for facilitating job finding – in particular for new entrants to the Maritime industry’s jobs market. In general, issues were raised with the aim of developing further our Club.
The President and the Board of Directors warmly thank all the Members who continue to support the Club and of course all the participants with their presence at the 2025 Ordinary General Assembly.
A drinks and light buffet with dips and sandwiches followed nicely prepared by the Piraeus Marine Club’s catering.
