Athens International Airport, in collaboration with the Takis Foundation, honors the great Greek sculptor by hosting the anniversary exhibition “100 Years of Takis”.
On the occasion of the completion of a century since the artist’s birth, two of his historical and emblematic works, an “Aeolian” and a “Spiral” , adorn the exterior of Departures (Entrance 1) until 24.01.2026.
At the same time, in a specially designed area in Arrivals (Entrance 1), visitors will have the opportunity to learn about Takis’ life and work through audiovisual material and a presentation of two other important sculptures, “Neutral Indicator” and “Signal” , from the Foundation’s Collection.

Through this exhibition, Athens International Airport and the Takis Foundation offer visitors until 24.01.2026 a concise but essential introduction to the artist, highlighting his unique contribution to the international art scene and his imprint on the field of contemporary art.
The spaces where the works and the tribute to the life and work of the great Greek sculptor are presented are accessible to all passengers and visitors to the Airport, daily, 24 hours a day.
