The Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra will present a concert dedicated to German Romanticism this weekend under the direction of renowned conductor Thomas Hengelbrock. The programme will feature works by Carl Maria von Weber, Felix Mendelssohn and Robert Schumann, including Weber’s Concerto in F minor performed by pianist Martin Helmchen, while also marking 200 years since Weber’s death. Hengelbrock, who described his connection with the Monaco orchestra as particularly close, said the concert aims to immerse audiences in the richness and emotion of German and European Romantic music.
