FSUE Krylov State Research Center and Baltiysky Zavod – Sudostroenije have signed a contract on supply of  the electric propulsion system for icebreaker of Project 22220,  the capacity of which is 60 MWt, Krylov Center announced.
Under the contract, Krylov State Research Center is to supply the electric propulsion system for icebreaker of Project 22220 by the end of May 2015. The contract is valued at some RUB 1.5 bln (including VAT).
With the Center mastering this technology it is possible not to buy similar foreign technologies in compliance with the concept of phasing-out of imports. (Source: IAA PortNews)
