Grugliasco (Italy), October 27, 2026 – Comau and Automha will showcase the Group’s comprehensive approach to food & beverage automation at CIBUS TEC 2026 (Hall 2, Booth K038), taking place in Parma from October 27–30. Bringing together food & beverage processing, packaging and logistics technologies, CIBUS TEC is the perfect platform to demonstrate how the integrated Comau-Automha offer, which also includes Invent, spans the entire production and logistics flow, from inbound material management and product handling and processing to pick-and-place, packaging, palletizing, automated storage and outbound distribution. This end-to-end approach gives food & beverage manufacturers a single partner for automation across production and intralogistics, combining proprietary technology with the engineering and integration expertise needed to deliver powerful turnkey solutions.

Comau will also introduce, for the first time, its new Hygienic Oil (HO) Family, which spans different payloads from the Rebel SCARA and Racer and NJ articulated robot families through to palletizing robots. Designed for food handling and processing, the new HO Family uses NSF H1 food-grade lubricants to help minimize contamination risks without the need for protective robot covers. This makes the robots particularly suited to fast processes such as pick-and-place, portioning, processing and handling. Together with Comau’s FCM-certified (MOCA) robots, the HO Family extends the group’s offering from logistics and packaging to direct product processing and handling.

Visitors will see key applications including Comau’s dedicated 4-axis, food-grade articulated S-18-1.7 HO robot and MATE family of wearable robotics for upper and lower back support, as well as a Racer-5 SE food-handling cell developed in collaboration with Progea Leonardo and Camozzi and a packaged-product pick-and-place cell featuring Comau’s MyCo collaborative robot, developed together with Innovision.

From Automha’s dedicated portfolio, both the Quaterways multidirectional shuttle and AutosatGTR, the latest evolution of its Autosat shuttle technology for multi-depth pallet storage, will be on display. Quaterways is powered by the AWMS (Automha Warehouse Management System) and is designed to navigate rack aisles in all four directions as well as access deep-lane storage, enabling fully automated storage and retrieval operations. . Together, they give visitors a comprehensive view of how these technologies can be applied across food & beverage production, handling and storage.

The global intralogistics market is expected to expand at close to 10% annually through 2030, driven in part by the growth of e-commerce, the expansion of automated warehouses and increasing adoption of robotics and data-driven logistics solutions.

“Demand for automation across production, warehousing and distribution continues to grow and our group is investing to expand our technologies and enhance our competencies,” said Francesco Allegra, Chief Executive Officer of Automha and Chief Operational Performance Officer at Comau. “This growth creates a significant opportunity to operate as a single hub, combining Comau’s robotics and automation capabilities with Automha’s automated storage and intralogistics solutions and Invent’s digital and software expertise. Together, these capabilities give us the scale to take on larger projects, enter new markets and invest in technologies that help customers optimize their operations.”
