Christmas Boat Light Parade in Cruise Bay

On Saturday (13 December), a Christmas Boat Light Parade will be staged in Cruise Bay between 1945 and 2115 hours local time.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s Port Marine Notice No.154 of 2014, the co-ordinates of the designated route are as follows (WGS 84 Datum):

1) 01° 15.680’N / 103° 48.397’E

2) 01° 15.680’N / 103° 49.200’E

3) 01° 15.709’N / 103° 49.339’E

4) 01° 15.555’N / 103° 49.339’E

5) 01° 15.649’N / 103° 49.172’E

6) 01° 15.649’N / 103° 48.397’E

During the boat parade, the craft will be moving at a maximum speed of 6 knots and sail boats will operate under power along the designated route. Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft and vessels of the boat parade.

Craft involved in the parade will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When inside Cruise Bay, mariners are reminded to:

a) Maintain a proper lookout;

b) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;

c) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 05 (Cruise Bay Control);

and

d) Communicate with Cruise Bay Control on VHF Channel 05 for assistance, if required.
