The Rt Hon Greg Hands MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, will deliver the keynote address to the LISW15 Conference on 10 September. With global financial, commodity and energy markets reeling, this top-level Treasury presentation could not be better timed for those involved in shipping and so dependent on those markets. The Rt Hon Greg Hands MP was appointed Chief Secretary to the Treasury on 11 May 2015. He was previously the Deputy Chief Whip, Treasurer of HM Household from 2013 to 2015, and prior to that was Treasury Whip from 2011. He was elected the Conservative MP for Hammersmith and Fulham in 2005, and for Chelsea and Fulham in 2010 and 2015.Following a career in banking, he spent several years as a local councillor in London before entering Parliament in 2005. After the 2010 election, he became Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Read more.
