Expert service assured for Korean customer base
Evoqua Water Technologies has announced that Krosys, a leading supplier of safe water solutions for the marine market, has been named a new franchise partner to supply and support Evoqua’s SeaCURE™ system in South Korea, home to the globe’s largest ship building yards. The partnership ensures Korean shipbuilders will have guaranteed expert service and short response times when they use Evoqua’s cutting edge SeaCURE™ Ballast Water Management System (BWMS).
Krosys has been selected by Evoqua for its expertise in marine water treatment technologies and in-market knowledge. The business will receive Evoqua components and work to type-approved design to manufacture the SeaCURE™ BWMS in South Korea. This will ensure the vessels built by Korean ship yards with SeaCure™ BWMS are compliant with environmental regulations and can continue to access global waters. Importantly, Krosys will provide commissioning and start-up assistance, along with warranty support once the system is installed.
Krosys serves the Korean market from its facility in Busan, in the heart of South Korea’s ship building industry. To date, the business has delivered more than 2, 000 fresh water generators for large vessels and is a dominant supplier of reverse osmosis (RO) fresh water generators for the Korean navy.

The Evoqua SeaCURE™ system was the first to complete low salinity (brackish) water testing for ballast water management solutions at an Independent Laboratory in the U.S.A for United States Coast Guard (USCG) approval. As part of USCG protocols, BWMS is designed to safely protect the environment and world economies from invasive aquatic species damage. The system has already attained alternate management systems (AMS) acceptance for fresh, brackish and full saline water and was the first electrochlorination system to receive AMS acceptance for all three salinities.
