A general view of the exhibition hall

What a splash was the first day of the 23d Natural & Organic Products Europe 2019 at ExCel!

Nothing can stop health, beauty and food – the three most ancient issues and causes of human life over many millennia!

A great opening with too many guests from all over the wold visiting hundreds of stands with thousands of innovative and more than inspiring natural products and services from all over Planet Ocean!

At the Menoikio stand

For us in the Shipping Industry, the biggest industry from all put together, health coupled with safety, beauty supported in all sectors and in particular in the cruise  industry  – part of maritime tourism and food (and drink) are of paramount importance to and fro all intents and purposes! Indeed here the Greek maim applies: “A healthy mind in a health body” !

We set up early with our team – Anny Zade, Savroula Gavridi and John Faraclas, to ensure we cover as many stands as we could and obviously with our Greek background too to visit a few dozen of Greek stands –  mainly at the Greek Pavilion and others around.

We were warmly greeted at the Press Office by Emma Jones and Sharna Waid who ensured that we have in hand all relevant info needed before embarking to our six hour tour!

Whilst passing by the VIP Club Lounge sponsored by Enterprise Greece, we were … “spotted” by the co-president of the British-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce Anna  Kalliani with whom we had an interesting discussion as well as the honour for a quickie live interview.

Some photo-call sessions also took place with the new Economic and Commercial Attache at the Greek Embassy Panayotis Papanastassiou and later on with the Chairman and CEO of Enterprise Greece Grigoris Stergioulis and their teams.

The Greek presence of all these companies was under the auspices of the Hellenic Republic – Ministry of Rural Development and Food, Enterprise Greece – invest and Trade as well as with the support from the Embassy of Greece in London – Economic & Commercial Section, The BHCC (British Hellenic Chamber of Commerce), The Region of Central Greece, The Region of Crete, the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and DIO – The Certification & Inspection Organisation of Organic Products.

The Seminar programme too with many interesting themes was running across three theatres with some of the industry’s most respected names revealing the latest trends, research and innovations to hit the market.

We will revert with a full account later on and more photos.

All in all a great exhibition with a multiple of messages being send all over! Nothing can stop this sector, not even any BREXIT whatsoever!
