The Admiralty team recently returned from Marintec China 2011 in Shanghai, where over 100 maritime professionals attended our Digital Integration Workshops.
Entitled ‘Are you ready for the ECDIS regulations?’, the Workshops are designed to help ship managers effectively plan for the integration of digital technology into bridge operations to meet the requirements of the ECDIS Mandate.
Initially we had planned three sessions, but due to popular demand we added an extra one to the schedule. Following Marintec China, the Workshops will be held again throughout 2012, starting with events in Singapore in March and Tokyo in April 2012.
We’ll have more details about how to sign-up in the next newsletter in January. Marintec China 2011 was also an opportunity for us to catch up with our Asian partners as well as demonstrate our full range of products.
We had a range of ECDIS displaying AVCS complete with the Admiralty Information Overlay; e-Navigator was available to try; and we also had paper charts on the stand to show how paper and digital charts can work together. You can watch our highlights video from the show here.
