OW Bunker, one of the world’s largest suppliers of marine fuel and lubricants, today announced the launch of a Physical Division in its US operation to complement the company’s existing trading arm. To drive the growth, the company has appointed Adrian Tolson as Regional Manager and Keith Richardson as a Senior Trader for the North American Physical Division.
Jan Christensen, Vice President, Physical Division, OW Bunker, said: “I am delighted that Adrian Tolson and Keith Richardson have joined OW Bunker. They have a wealth of industry experience and will play a pivotal role in creating the infrastructure for our new Physical Division in the US, and driving its growth. Their knowledge and understanding of the region will help us to build better and closer relationships with our customers, enabling us to meet their increasing needs and demands.”
OW Bunker’s US Physical Division will be based out of Connecticut. The initial focus will be to provide physical supply in the US Gulf and create a platform for further expansion in key ports throughout North America.
Adrian Tolson, Regional Manager, North America, Physical Division, OW Bunker, commented:
“Both Keith and I are delighted to be joining OW Bunker as the company looks to develop its footprint in North America. It is a critical time for the region, as ship owners and operators adapt to new regulations. Fuel suppliers have an important role to play in not just meeting market supply and demand, but ensuring that customers’ fuel procurement strategies are right for their businesses, cost effective and on the best terms possible. Our focus will be on creating the physical infrastructure that ensure this.”
Both Adrian Tolson and Keith Richardson have worked in the petroleum industry for many years. Prior to joining OW Bunker, Tolson was Vice President, Marine Fuels, Noble Bunkering. He also spent many years as Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing for Chemoil. Similarly, Richardson was Director of Business Development for Marine Fuels at Noble Bunkers Americas, with responsibility for operations, trading and business development. Before this, he spent four years as Managing Director of Chemoil Latin America in Panama.
