The following are the main points – in brief – from the latest John Faraclas live interview to Panos Thomakos on SBC TV last Friday the 15th of March 2013:

1)Faraclas begun with the state of the Markets, mentioning the small rise of the BDI at 892 up 69 points from the previous week, but also making it explicit that this is nothing to celebrate for, as uncertainty is here to stay. Overcapacity the name of the Game. Moreover he said that his prediction via SBC TV on China and the iron ore issue come out verbatim correct!

He stressed that the pulse of the markets is the shipbuilding industry saying that nothing spectacular happens as in Japan, the third major shipbuilding nation, only five newbuilding orders where confirmed….

Faraclas grasped the chance to mention the ailing Greek Shipyards dying from the inability of all those governing Greece and the biased European decision to “close” them down, particularly the major one: Skaramanga! The country needs a government with a mandate, a national government with technocrats and none from  the old guard of politicians. The country can develop business and earn money but without these regimes; one National Unity or Ecumenical Government can do the job.

2) He then mentioned the Greek Opposition leader’s speech at the LSE saying that he was at least honest in saying that he wants:  a complete change of the status quo, tax the shipowners and reverse the austerity program imposed to the greek people. Faraclas said that Tsipras mingles with the wrong possible shipowners  and that he has the wrong advisers! We noticed, he said,  that the UK greek academics begun surrounding Alexis Tsipras, alike in the “good old days” of PASOK (the Papandreou’s Socialists), and that this is very dangerous. Tsipras only mentioned his objection in mining gold. He didn’t mentioned anything on the shipyards, nothing on exploring oil and gas…. Faraclas believes that Tsipras is not the right person to become Greece’s leader… Nothing on how he will tackle the debt restructuring where Faraclas totaly objects that  there is any debt whatsover!

3)Thomakos then asked what happens or what will happen with the Greek Coastal Services and the Libearization that is being rumored per the  European Union  /Troikas’ wishes. Faraclas said that this is a very dangerous game and that the National Interest is above anything else, as, if non-Greeks are involved, it will at best end in tears. Still the Ministry hasn’t shorted out the schedule coastal services and the tourist season is about to start in few weeks… Fast boats will operate for four months; the rest of the year conventional ferries will ply in the Greek waters. The Greek Coast Guard is loosing Officers due to financial reasons! They resign! Tsipras doesn’t know the recipe to save Greece.

4)Furthermore Faraclas mentioned the change in China with Xi Jinping  and the new Pope, Pope Frances; two major events which already have started influencing the society! He continued by saying that the State is running after the depositors and wishes to impose heavy taxes. The Cyprus issue now is surfacing!

5)Faraclas ended by saying that the taxation issue strangulates the Greek public and nobody speaks…!
