Further increase of channel depth
Dredging at the port of Newcastle continues and the Harbour Channel depth
is now 14.90 metres at zero tide, a further increase of 0.2 metres.
Recent flooding had caused a build-up of silt, reducing the Channel Depth
from 15.20 metres to 14.30 metres at zero tide. A dredge is operating 24
hours a day to remove the silt.
