The Panhellenic Drawing Competition of the “HELMEPA Junior” environmental Program based on the theme “I’m taken in my dreams to a spotless world that gleams” has been successfully completed. HELMEPA received a total of 318 artworks from 352 HELMEPA Junior Groups of 101 Kindergartens and Elementary Schools across Greece. These artworks reflect the vision of the younger generation for a cleaner world.
This year’s Competition was conducted separately for the following age categories: a) children aged between 5 and 7 years and children from Special Education Centers and b) children aged between 8 and 12 years. All entries were uploaded onto the “HELMEPA” Junior website and the Board of Representatives and the Program’s members had the opportunity to vote for the best, as follows.
1st Category: Children aged between 5 and 7 years and children from Special Education Centers
1st Prize: 22nd Kindergarten of the Island of Rhodes, Group 1271(N), students aged 5-6 years.
2nd Prize: 2nd Elementary School of the Island of Kalymnos, Groups 1283(A)-1284(A), students aged 7 years.
3rd Prize: 2nd Elementary School of the Island of Kalymnos, Groups 1274(A)-1275(A), students aged 7 years.
2nd Category: Children aged between 8 and 12 years
1st Prize: Private School “Sychroni Paideia” of the Island of Mykonos, Group 1996(B), students aged 9 years.
2nd Prize: 2nd Elementary School of the Island of Kalymnos, Groups 1969(B)-1970(B)-1971(B), students aged 10 years.
3rd Prize: 7th Elementary School of the Island of Corfu, Group 1436(G), students aged 11 years
The 2 artworks that won the 1st Prize will be printed as Posters and will be disseminated in Greece and abroad, whilst Commemorative Certificates will be provided to the children-members who have been awarded 2nd and 3rd Prizes.
