Priority berthing at GMB Jetty
Priority berthing at Porbandar’s GMB Jetty is likely to be affected on 13
and 14 June due to the requirements of the Indian Navy at the jetty on
these days.

Reduced draft in approach channel
New Mangalore Port Trust has advised that, due to monsoon conditions and
siltation, the maximum permissible draft in the approach channel is reduced
to 13.75M at 1M tide with immediate effect.

Williamston Channel-Webb Dock: sediment sampling
Mariners are advised that sediment sampling works will be undertaken in and
around the waters of Webb Dock and are scheduled to commence on 11 June
2013.
The works will require the use of a 10m x 18m jack-up barge (JUB II) and
workboat (Taurus). Sampling operations will be conducted during daytime
hours with all plant returning each evening to a 30m x 9m dec k barge
(Taree) which will be moored at the northern head of Webb Dock for the
duration of works.
Sediment Sampling will occur in the vicinity of the following locations:

2. Lat 37 deg. 50.4446’N / Long 144 deg. 54.2412’E
3. Lat 37 deg. 50.5113’N / Long 144 deg. 54.3416’E

5. Lat 37 deg. 50.6172’N / Long 144 deg. 54.3693’E
6. Lat 37 deg. 50.6977’N / Long 144 deg. 54.3363’E
7. Lat 37 deg. 50.9559’N / Long 144 deg. 54.7177’E
8. Lat 37 deg. 50.7718’N / Long 144 deg. 54.3956’E
9. Lat 37 deg. 50.8871’N / Long 144 deg. 54.4946’E

The contractors, URL, will contact Melbourne VTS daily to determine
commercial vessel movements.
Daily movements of the jack-up barge and workboat can be obtained by
contacting Taurus on VHF 12. Worls are scheduled for completion on or
around 24 June 2013.
