Pilotage and towage tariffs to rise

A 20% increase from the basic tariff for pilotage and towage services at
Migas Dumai restricted port will come into effect from tomorrow (1
September 2013).

The tariff adjustment is valid for two years until 31 August 2015 or until
further decision (if any) of ports costs justifications.

For towage in DP II and DP IV inner jetty, by considering the water
condition (strong current, etc) for safety and security, towage services
for vessels in those ports must use 1 unit of towing vessel plus 1 unit of
towing vessel for assistance. Based on the above, for towage vessels in DP
II and DP IV inner jetty using 2 units of towage vessel the tariff is 175%
from the current tariff.
