Caution urged following recent attacks
Port authorities at Gresik and Dumai are urging vessels to exercise caution
due to a risk of piracy and/or theft.
As several attacks have been reported in the recent days, vessels are
recommended to take suitable measures, and exercise caution while in this
area and transiting through the surrounding waters.

Kurban Bayrami holiday
Official institutions and banks in Turkey will be closed from the afternoon
of 12 October through to 20 October, inclusive, for the nine-day Kurban
Bayrami holiday.
You are urged to make all your arrangements for crew, spares, provision,
etc. soonest in order for the same to be delivered to vessels in good time.
Some ports may be closed between these dates and rates for official
services (pilotage, towage, mooring, customs) be increased by 50%.
Therefore, you are encouraged to check with GAC Turkey prior to calling at
any of the country’s ports during this holiday period.
GAC Turkey will be on duty during the holiday.
