Maximum draft at berths increased
Due to improvement of the water depth at [New Mangalore] approach channel
and lagoon by continuous dredging, the maximum permissible draft for berth
No.10, 11, 14 W and 15 are increased to 13.5 metres with 1 metre height of
tide with immediate effect.

Typhoon aftermath – 11 November 2013
The Philippines death toll from Typhoon Haiyan continues to rise with at
least 10, 000 estimated deaths in the Leyte province alone.
Hundreds more are feared dead in other provinces devastated by gale force
winds and two-storey high storm surges brought about by the typhoon.
Below is a round-up of the situation in affected areas, based on
information currently available:
LEYTE
– The province was the hardest hit by the typhoon, with officials saying
there may be 10, 000 dead in the provincial capital of Tacloban alone.
Reports are coming in from elsewhere on the island and neighboring islands
indicating hundreds more deaths, although it will be days before the full
extent of the storm can be assessed.
– Communication lines are cut off but networks have been restored in some
areas. Still no power as of yesterday (10 November).
– The land route from Manila is passable, but the airport is closed to
commercial flights.
– Ormoc City is in a state of calamity. Communication services are
intermittent. As of 10 November, roads were still impassable with access
only possible by helicopter or boat.
EASTERN SAMAR
– At least 200 feared dead. Communication lines still cut off. Bridges
unpassable in Lawaan, Borongan and General Mac Arthur.
– Giporlos and Guiuan – at leat 95% of the town severely damaged.
ANTIQUE
State of calamity declared.
ILOILO
– Entire province under state of calamity.
– The airport is open.
– Communication lines cut off in towns of Carles, Ajuy, Barotac, Viejo,
Concepcion, Batad, San Dionision, San Rafael and Balasan.
– Estancia is reported to have been 100% destroyed, according to Gov. Raul
Tupas.
Sara remains isolated
CAPIZ (ROXAS CITY)
– Second command center set up.
– Airport closed until Sunday 10 November.
NEGROS OCCIDENTAL
– State of calamity declared.
– Transmission lines restored.
– Bacolod Airport open
NEGORS ORIENTAL
– Transmission lines restored.
– Dumaguete Airport open
CEBU
– Suspension of classes in 9 Northern Cebu towns until 15 November.
– Communication lines down in towns of Bogo, Medellin and Daanbantayan.
– Bantayan Island completely isolated.
– Cebu International Port, Cebu City, Mandaue (Petron terminal) are all OK.
BOHOL
Electricity intermittent.
ROMBLOM
Airport open.
PALAWAN (BUSUANGA/CORON)
– Airport closed, due to open on 16 November.
– Pier open.
– No water. Power supply only via generator.
PALAWAN (PUERTO PRINCESA)
Airport/pier both open.
ALBAY (LEGAZPI)
Airport open.
MASBATE
Airport is open.
AKLAN (CATICLAN)
Airport is open.
AKLAN (KALIBO)
Airport is closed until today 11 November.
SAMAR
Communication lines partially restored.
NORTHERN SAMAR
Communication lines partially restored.
ORIENTAL MINDORO
Electricity restored in Calapan and Naujan
ORIENTAL MINDORO
