Warehouse Bye Laws & Bunders Scale of Rates 2014
For the calendar year 2014, 26 January, 1 May and 15 August will be closed
holidays for all [Mumbai Port Trust] employees under Bye Law No.118 of the
Docks Bye Laws.
The above 3 days will be omitted in computing free days as prescribed in
Chapter III Section 3.1(B) of Scale of Rates for the purpose of assessment
of demurrage charges.

Reclamation of Ayer Chawan Basin, Jurong Island
The working period for reclamation works at Ayer Chawan Basin, Jurong
Island, has been extended. The work is now being conducted from 15 December
2013 to 14 June 2014.
According to the Port Marine Notice No. 163 of 2013, the works are being
conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the
working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

The reclamation works will involve removal of existing rocks from the rock
keys along the existing shoreline and stockpiling at designated re-handling
area at Ayer Chawan Basin. Shore protection works will be carried out by
crane barges.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
(a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
(b) Maintain a proper lookout;
(c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
(d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
(e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if
required.
