John Denholm is set to give a highly anticipated speech on the history of Denholm, and the BIMCO story from a shipowners’ perspective, at the next Shipping Professionals Network London (SPNL) meeting.
The event is being sponsored by Norton Rose Fulbright and will be held at their offices in south east London on 24 April.
Mr Denholm joined the family business as an accountant in 1981 after qualifying as a chartered accountant. He has since held the roles of Group Accountant, Group Finance Director, and Group Managing Director and is currently Group Chairman and Chief Executive. Mr Denholm is also President of BIMCO as well as holding Directorships with a number of other companies and organisations.
Claudio Chiste, SPNL Chairman from Investec Bank shipping & marine finance, said members are set to get a lot out of the evening. “We are absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity to hear John Denholm speak about the history of BIMCO from his own perspective as a shipowner. Having such a key figure speaking at one of our events is testament to how well-regarded SPNL and its members are within the shipping industry.”
The event will take place on Thursday 24 April at the Norton Rose Fulbright Offices in More London Place from 6.30pm and will allow for a Question and Answer session after speeches as well as the usual networking opportunities.
