HELMEPA Summer Campaign 2014

HELMEPA Summer Campaign 2014

Following a tough contest run on the Association’s Facebook page, HELMEPA has chosen the slogan for this year’s summer public awareness campaign. From amongst the many clever and pithy messages submitted, the winning slogan that emerged was “Don’t trash the beach!”, inspired by our Facebook fan, George Tzevelekakis, from Anakasia in Volos.

Thus, 20, 000 new posters featuring HELMEPA’s Seagull are now travelling throughout Greece spreading the “Don’t trash the beach!”message.

For their significant contribution in disseminating the posters, HELMEPA wholeheartedly thanks the 6, 500 children-members of the “HELMEPA Junior” program and their volunteer teachers, Port and Local Authorities, Sailing Clubs, Maritime Museums and all cooperating entities. Posters will also be made available at environmental events at which HELMEPA will participate, as well as to the visitors of the Association’s stand at the 2014 POSIDONIA International Shipping Exhibition.

It is the wish of all volunteer-members, who sustain the work of HELMEPA, that the thousands of ‘Seagull’ posters disseminated during the past 32 years trigger the Greek ‘filotimo’ (integrity) for Clean Seas and Beaches.

We wish you an enjoyable and clean summer!!!
