Leading leaf chain manufacturer and supplier FB Chain is celebrating after winning the prestigious Supplier of the Year accolade at the Fork Lift Truck Association’s 2015 Awards for Excellence.
Throughout its 30-year history, FB Chain has gone above and beyond to become the material handling industry’s most trusted partner for forklift truck chain, anchor bolts and pulleys – leading the way in safety, quality and customer service.
The company offers a variety of standard, corrosion-resistant, and high-endurance leaf chains and associated parts, all with consistent quality and traceability guaranteed, as well as at least 20% higher tensile strength than the minimum set by ISO4347. These vital forklift mast components are supplied on short lead times – where possible on the same or following day – and often tailored to customer’s individual requirements.
Even once a sale has been made, FB Chain’s friendly, knowledgeable and experienced staff – mainstays of the BSI (British Standards Institute) technical committee – continue to provide useful application and maintenance advice, ensuring customers get the maximum performance, uptime and value for money from their chain throughout its long service life.
This dedication to the customer – and the industry as a whole – was recognised on Saturday 28th February at the FLTA’s 21st annual Awards for Excellence, as FB Chain was named Supplier of the Year after a member vote.
The awards, which were held this year at the International Centre in Shropshire, are considered the most glamourous event in the materials handling industry’s calendar and aim to reward and encourage excellence from the UK’s forklift truck and component manufacturers.
FB Chain also received a nod at the 2012 awards, as former sales director Jim Cameron was bestowed the Services to the Industry ‘Archie’ for his vital work in the field of chain safety and his role in the development of the FB Professional Chain Wear Gauge. The gauge is now considered the ‘go-to’ tool for forklift service technicians all over the world.
