Hutton’s Medical, part of the international ship supplier Hutton’s Group, has been chosen as a partner by Praxes Medical Group to be the sole supplier of medical kits and supplies to the Clipper 2015-16 Round the World Yacht Race.
Hutton’s Medical will assist Praxes, the Clipper Race’s Global Medical Support Partner, in providing medical coverage for the upcoming Clipper Round the World Yacht Race which begins on August 30with a 5, 630 nautical mile UK to Rio de Janeiro leg.
During the 2015-16 edition of the famous race Hutton’s Medical will utilise its medical management system to track stock onboard all the yachts, ensuring they comply with MCA regulations at all times during the race and providing replacements as required at each stopover on the route.
Established by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is the world’s longest ocean race, also known as one of the world’s toughest endurance challenges. Twelve teams compete against each other on a matched fleet of Clipper Race 70 ocean racing yachts over a 40, 000 nautical mile long course which includes eight different legs and takes almost a year to complete.
