GAC 01072014Ship-to-Ship operations at Offshore Anchorage

The following conditions apply prior to permitting an S.T.S. operations at Fujairah Offshore Anchorage:

a) S.T.S. operation is permitted only if the cargo belongs to companies holding valid bunkering license in Fujairah for bunkering activities;

b) A confirmation from registered bunkering company is required prior to permitting a S.T.S. operation;

c) Valid S.T.S. plan and S.T.S. Hose Test Certificates need to be submitted along with Ship’s Certificate as per Notice to Mariner No.148 Version 2;

d) Certificate of Origin & Bill of Lading of cargo need to be submitted in advance prior to S.T.S. operation;

e) Vessel must hold valid Last port clearance;

f) Confirmation from ship master that his ship did not conduct S.T.S. cargo operation at High Seas;

g) All S.T.S. operations must be at “S” area after approval from Harbour Master’s Office;

h) Pilot & Tugs are compulsory and will be arranged by Port of Fujairah.

Mooring/unmooring off Jurong Island, Off Temasek Fairway

From 02 Jun 2015 to 02 Dec 2015, bulk carriers, self propelled barges and pusher tugs with barges in composite unit carrying bulk sand will be transiting the Temasek Fairway to West Jurong reclamation project area.

Masters of vessels and harbour craft shall keep a proper lookout for these vessels, proceed at a safe speed and navigate with extra caution when in the vicinity of the mooring buoys off Temasek Fairway, Jurong Island.

The mooring and unmooring of vessels will be carried out in the daylight hours (0630 to 1830hours) during the period of reclamation work.

The following Mooring Buoys APJI2-3, APJI2-4, APJI3-5, APJI3-6 off Temasek Fairway will be deployed for mooring and unmooring of the bulk carriers. The mooring buoys will be removed upon completion of the reclamation.

Mooring/unmooring at Banyan Basin, Jurong Island

From 02 Jun 2015 to 02 Dec 2015, bulk carriers, self propelled barges and pusher tugs with barges in composite unit carrying bulk sand will be transiting the Banyan Basin, Sinki Fairway and Temasek Fairway to the Jurong Island Westward Extension (JIWE) reclamation project area.

Masters of vessels and harbour craft shall keep a proper lookout for these vessels, proceed at a safe speed and navigate with extra caution when in the vicinity of the mooring buoys off Bayan Basin, Jurong Island.

The mooring buoys are ‘BBB-1’, ‘BBB-2’, ‘BBB-3’, ‘BBB-4’, ‘BBB-5’ and ‘BBB-6’ with a total of three mooring slots between them. The positions of the mooring buoys are as follows (WGS 84 Datum):

BBB-1) 01 deg. 15.266’N / 103 deg. 41.613’E

(Yellow polyethylene buoy Fl .Y.2s.)

BBB-2) 01 deg. 15.084’N / 103 deg. 41.667’E

(Yellow polyethylene buoy Fl .Y.2s.)

BBB-3) 01 deg. 15.772’N / 103 deg. 41.326’E

(Yellow polyethylene buoy Fl .Y.4s.)

BBB-4) 01 deg. 15.644’N / 103 deg. 41.465’E

(Yellow polyethylene buoy Fl .Y.4s.)

BBB-5) 01 deg. 15.552’N / 103 deg. 41.528’E

(Yellow polyethylene buoy Fl .Y.3s.)

BBB-6) 01 deg. 15.370’N / 103 deg. 41.582’E

They will be used for mooring of the bulk carriers. The mooring and unmooring of vessels will be carried out one at a time during daylight hours between 0700hrs to 1800hrs. The mooring buoys will be removed upon completion of the reclamation.

Closure of Bosphorus for bridge works

The Bosphorus will be closed to vessel traffic from 0500 to 2000 hours local time on Thursday (4 June) due to works on the 3. bridge (Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge).
