Mobilising Greece’s global talent to ensure economic and social growth

The 1st Forum of Reload Greece titled ‘Mobilising Greece’s global talent to ensure economic and social growth’ was successfully held yesterday afternoon, at London Business School.

The participation of London’s business community was impressive, as over 150 business executives, investors and Professors, Greeks and philhellenes, attended the Forum. All attendees showed a genuine interest to support the vision and actions of Reload Greece, all of which aim to help Greece’s socioeconomic development from abroad.

The Forum opened with a foreword from HE The Ambassador of Greece in the UK, Mr. Bikas, who mentioned that “Reload Greece and everybody involved in it can make a difference to Greece” and emphasized that “The organisation creates a community and connects investors with Reloaders“.

Hugo Dixon, Founder of Breaking Views and moderator of the discussion, said that “When people come to advanced countries they accumulate skills that they can transfer to Greece. Greece will need these entrepreneurs”.

Vicky Pryce, Chief Economist CEBR and former joint head of the Government Economic Service, and one of the distinguished speakers of the panelmentioned that “Reload Greece makes funding opportunities for entrepreneurs feasible”.

Yiorgos Mylonadis, Strategy & Entrepreneurship Adjunct Professor, London Business School, mentioned “Greece has a high quality diaspora and this is untapped.  Reload Greece acts as a bridge”.

Christina Garidi, founder of Eudaimonia Coaching, shared her own entrepreneurial story with the attendees and emphasized that “Love and courage are twins. You can’t have the one with out the other. Reload Greece helped her combine both and turn her into a successful entrepreneur”.

The Forum ended with a series of presentations by aspiring young entrepreneurs who live abroad and are currently being supported by Reload Greece, in order to create “connected business models” ventures and support their country from afar.
