Shoaling in the Houston Ship Channel

Effective immediately, the draft for the Houston Ship Channel will be limited to 43′-00″ fresh water with a zero tide.
Yesterday (30 June), a vessel touched the bottom in the middle of the Channel near beacons 45 & 46 in lower Galveston Bay.

Public services to close for local holiday

Monday 6 July will be a local holiday in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and most public services will be closed. Ports and terminals, however, will work normally.
