From 17 September to 31 October an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) will be tested off SAF Yacht Club Changi.According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.103 of 2015, the work will be carried out from 0800 to 1800 hours on weekdays within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):1) 01 deg. 18.756’N / 104 deg. 00.976’E2) 01 deg. 14.425’N / 104 deg. 00.976’E
3) 01 deg. 18.425’N / 104 deg. 00.784’E 4) 01 deg. 18.756’N / 104 deg. 00.784’E Work boats will be used to launch and recover the AUV. Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals. When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to: a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area; b) Maintain a proper lookout; c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution; d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control); and e) Communicate with East Control on VHF Channel 12 for assistance, if required.
