Home Associations A flying start to Southampton Boat Show 2015

Red Arrows Display Thrills Visitors At The Southampton Boat ShowThough the clouds may be making the occasional appearance, it isn’t keeping away the visitors as the Show carries on its celebrations of British boating into the week.

So far the Show has enjoyed 23 world launches, 120 debuts with guest appearances from Formula1 presenter, Suzi Perry, and boy band, Collabro and a show-stopping display from the Red Arrows. After a great first weekend of crowds streaming through the doors (3% up from last year and 5% up on 2013) enjoying the great attractions on offer at the Show, we now look forward to the Apprenticeship Graduation Awards today, the return of Ladies Day on Thursday and another buzzing last weekend of the Show which is set for some glorious weather.

A spokesperson for Habitent commented, ‘We have got off to a great start this year and sold our products for boats including Westerley Merlin and Centaur, Moody 31, Beneteau First 29 and a Trapper 500 amongst others. There’s a great buzz about the Show this year and we’re delighted to be able to use it as a platform to showcase our products.”

Penny Hopkins at Dean and Reddyhoff commented, “We had a fantastic and busy first day at the Show, receiving a lot of press attention and doing lots of networking. We have had a steady stream of visitors to the stand and received lots of new business enquiries, which is great.”

We have put together a selection of videos following the success of the Show so far, from the Show build to highlights of the first weekend, including exclusive close ups of the Red Arrows performance. Download and share them here:
