Thursday 17 September – Following the hugely successful pilot of the Southampton Boat Show’s Scrumptious Seaweed flavoured sweets earlier this year, the Show organisers, British Marine, are on the hunt this weekend to find Sweet Tasters to help them perfect the taste of the UK’s first ever seaweed sweets.
British Marine, harnessed the scents and aromas of the sea to create the pilot samples that were available for a limited period only. The sweets have a distinct dark green colour and salty undertones to bring to life the flavours of the sea.
In order to put the finishing touches to the Scrumptious Seaweed sweets, British Marine are bringing the latest version of the rock candies to this year’s Southampton Boat Show for visitors to taste in order to gather crowd source feedback. The sweets will be available in the Show’s very own Aquarium from Saturday whilst stocks last*.
In addition to the Aquarium, developed in partnership with the University of Southampton, there are a host of other family-friendly attractions for everyone to enjoy and plenty of opportunities for visitors to get out on the water for free. From Try-a-Boat and the Adventure River Canoe Ride through to the Get Afloat experience, there will be something for everyone.
