Jean Gowin joins the HRAS Advisory Board
Managing Director of Jeanius Consulting, Jean Gowin is delighted to have been appointed a position on the Human Rights at Sea (HRAS) Advisory Board.
HRAS is a registered charity in England and Wales that aims to explicitly raise awareness, implementation and accountability of human rights provisions throughout the maritime environment, with a vision to become a leading independent maritime human rights platform.
Speaking about her new role, Jean said: “This is a great opportunity to be yet more involved in a charity I greatly believe in, and both myself and my company have supported HRAS’ efforts fully since its start. There is much to be done, and I look forward to helping not only further raise its profile, but to being actively involved in its plans and campaigns.”
The advisory position is a non-executive role in direct support of HRAS and will see Jean working directly with Founder & CEO, David Hammond and the rest of HRAS, offering advice on any projects or programmes they are involved in.
David Hammond, CEO & Founder of HRAS, added: “I am absolutely delighted that Jean has agreed to take such an active role in supporting Human Rights at Sea as the latest member of the Board of Advisers. From our first meeting her support and advice has been unwavering and it has helped define the charity from a media perspective.”
