Realize potential for newbuildings and existing vessels
On Thursday, October 8th 2015, a Container Forum was hosted at the training auditorium of DNV GL Piraeus.
The forum, which was attended by representatives of important Greek Container ship Owning and Managing Companies focused on efficient container ship design and such subjects as the use of CFD optimization for hulls of new buildings as well as for assessing retrofit options for existing ships and the use of AIS data as an aid to produce a commercially successful ship design.
An update on the latest developments in container ship design and a show case of an existing ship widening were also included in the agenda.
The forum was followed by an interesting discussion, while some refreshments were offered.
