
Rob Flello MP with a Formula E car at DHL
Rob Flello MP travelled to Germany to visit the new and improved DHL Innovation Centre.
On the 22nd of January, Rob Flello, Member of Parliament for Stoke-On-Trent South, visited the DHL Innovation Centre in Bonn, Germany as part of his Industry and Parliament Trust (IPT) Fellowship. The visit coincided with the recent launch of the DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center, which enables DHL to serve the Asian Market.
During the guided visit Dr Jessica Voss, Program Director at the DHL Innovation Centre showed Mr Flello a Formula E car to demonstrate DHL’s sustainable logistics solutions, smart mobility and automotive innovation. The visitors also discussed scenarios of transport in the year 2050 and DHL’s approach to Trend Research with specific examples being the Internet of things and augmented reality.
Mr Flello is currently undertaking a Fellowship with the IPT in logistics and marketing which has incorporated visits to the DHL marketing department; warehousing and logistics operations in his constituency, as well as spending time with AB ports in order to give Rob a flavour of the extensive logistics arena.

I would like to thank all the staff for taking time to accommodate me on this visit. As I draw towards the end of my Fellowship it is great to continue to see such variety within Logistics and marketing.”
