Assisted by Chris Leontopoulos of “flight experience” Cirrus Aeroclub in Greece, and the Hellenic Pilots’ Association, more than 40 private light aircraft are expected to fly to Kalamata airport (LGKL) from all over Europe, on Thursday the 26th of May.

The attendees, mostly pilots with their families, will be staying at the famous Costa Navarino hotel, Romanos Collection, of the well known shipowner, benefactor of Greece and founder of CostaMare Shipping company, Capt Vassilis Konstantakopoulos.

Cirrus Aircraft , the Duluth based manufacturer, will also be participating with display and intro flights of their latest Cirrus, the “2016 all-digital SR22T”, top-of-the-range model. The event will be open to the public at the airport of Kalamata on Thursday the 26th of May.

Despite the economical and political turmoil in Greece during the last year, this is a very encouraging and significant highlight for General Aviation in Greece, as well as for the Messinia region, and wish everybody involved a very successful event.
