Capt. Antonio M. Padrón y Santiago, “IMO Maritime Ambassador” and Maritime Authority of Tenerife, has created a Job Listing in order to coordinate and facilitate to Nautical students their training period at sea

At the initiative of IMO Maritime Ambassador for Spain, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the Directorate General of the Spanish Merchant Marine (DGMM) have approved the creation of Job Listing, in order to coordinate and facilitate to Nautical students their training period at sea.

For this, the maximum collaboration is requested by Nautical Schools and Faculties, shipping companies, agents and/or crewing agencies to ensure that, in the ambit of their respective responsibilities, first spread among students the existence of this instrument and, secondly, contribute to achieving the objectives proposed by communicating -where possible- the existence of vacants available.
The coordination of this JOB LISTING will be in charge of IMO Maritime Ambassador for Spain, with the collaboration of the Directors and Deans of the respective Nautical Schools and Faculties.

The program already has a number of associates, among which are: Bergé Marítima, Boluda, Ership, Fred Olsen Express, Naviera Armas, Korea Maritime and Oceanic University (KMOU) and Variety Cruises; more will be added as the contacts are being stablished with shipping lines, ship agents and/or crew agencies.
