Capt. Antonio M. Padrón y Santiago, “IMO Maritime Ambassador” and Maritime Authority of Tenerife, was visited by the Mayor of Mbacké (Senegal) accompanied by a representation of the Senegalese community in Tenerife
The Mayor of the city of Mbacké (Senegal), Serigne Abdou Mbacke Ndao, became interested in the activities of the Maritime Authority in search and rescue at sea, visiting the facilities of SASEMAR and recognizing the important work done by the these institutions in relation with the salvage of irregular migrants at sea.
The visit was also attended by Mr. Bernard Lonis, Consul of Senegal in Tenerife, Mr. Ndiawar Ndiaye, Consular Agent in Tenerife and Ms. Awa Ndiawl, representative of the Senegalese community in Tenerife.
