A strange time lies ahead. As Britain (well, 52% of Britain) has voted to leave the EU, we face uncertainty. I was so shocked by people on both sides behaving badly that I felt compelled to write the below blog merely a couple of hours after the result was announced.

While Brexit has dominated the news particularly here in the UK, it’s important to look at what else has been happening in the world! Shipping finance is suffering its own crisis, which is detailed below in our ‘long read’ from Paul Slater of First International. The week of the EU referendum was also Seafarers Awareness Week, and our HR consulting team honoured this by writing a blog a day, including those on the ship-to-shore transition and what it’s like for women in the industry.
