The University of Central Lancashire Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus) and the BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance Course, proudly announce the launch of a Unique Partnership with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the globally reputed professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant professional qualification. Our exclusive partnership with ACCA attractively positions UCLan Cyprus as the only University in Europe offering a BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance Programme simultaneously accredited by ACCA and offering an Accelerate status, which provides the following benefits for its students:
1. Upon enrolment to the BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance Programme, students will be automatically awarded with 9 exemptions from ACCA’s Fundamental Papers on condition that they successfully complete their undergraduate studies in BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance at UCLan Cyprus. This is a unique privilege that any BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance student who is registered with ACCA will enjoy at UCLan Cyprus. This unique privilege entitles our students to take the 5 remaining ACCA Professional Papers, during the course of their undergraduate studies, at the newly established ACCA tuition provision under the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) at UCLan Cyprus.
Effectively, our students will be offered the opportunity to expedite the completion of their professional accreditation by ACCA, as they will now be enabled to obtain their ACCA Professional Qualification by the time they graduate from the BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance Programme at UCLan Cyprus. UCLan Cyprus, through its unique partnership with ACCA, massively shortens for its students the total time required to obtain both their degree and their ACCA Professional Qualification. Specifically, the University offers the opportunity to its Accounting and Finance students to complete both their academic degree and their ACCA Professional Qualification in 4 years (at a minimum and depending on their progress with the Professional Papers’ examinations).
2. Initial registration fees of £87 that any student targeting the ACCA qualification is required to pay to ACCA will be covered by UCLan Cyprus for all the students registered with the BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance Programme, and who will attend their Professional Papers at the University’s ACCA tuition provision under IPS at UCLan Cyprus.
3. 1 year waiver of their subscription fee payable to ACCA.
4. Waiver of the exemption fees for ACCA’s Fundamental Papers F4-F9. Only the exemption fees for Fundamental Papers F1-F3 will be payable to ACCA upon the students’ graduation from BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance.
5. The entitlement to benefit from points 2, 3 and 4 above if, instead of point 1 above, they decide to take their Professional Papers following their degree graduation, provided that they take their first Professional Paper examination within 12 months after their graduation.
