| The working period has been extended for works to construct a new jetty and upgrade existing jetties at the oil tanking storage terminal off East Jurong Channel. The works are now being conducted from 11 October 2016 until 9 April 2017.According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s Port Marine Notice No.111 of 2016, the works will be carried out 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum): 1) 01 deg. 17.318’N / 103 deg. 43.516’E 2) 01 deg. 17.388’N / 103 deg. 43.556’E 3) 01 deg. 17.482’N / 103 deg. 43.391’E 4) 01 deg. 17.567’N / 103 deg. 43.438’E 5) 01 deg. 17.348’N / 103 deg. 43.823’E 6) 01 deg. 17.237’N / 103 deg. 43.708’E 7) 01 deg. 17.313’N / 103 deg. 43.576’E 8) 01 deg. 17.259’N / 103 deg. 43.546’E Crane barges will be used for the upgrading, construction of concrete works and installation of jetty structural elements. Flat top barges will be used to transport and storage of the construction materials. These flat top barges will be assisted by tugs. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft of the work. Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals. | An underwater sonar experiment will be carried our off east of St John’s Island from 12 to 14 October, inclusive.According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s Port Marine Notice No.110 of 2016, the experiment will be conducted between the hours of 0900 and 1700 local time daily, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum): 1) 01 deg. 13.033’N / 103 deg. 51.088’E 2) 01 deg. 13.077’N / 103 deg. 51.187’E 3) 01 deg. 12.920’N / 103 deg. 51.256’E 4) 01 deg. 12.848’N / 103 deg. 51.113’E The experiment includes the deployment of a transmitter system by work boat. Divers will be on standby during the deployment and recovery of transmitter system. Craft involved in the experiment will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
