Crane barges will be used for the upgrading, construction of concrete works and installation of jetty structural elements. Flat top barges will be used to transport and storage of the construction materials. These flat top barges will be assisted by tugs. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft of the work.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF Channel 25 for assistance, if required.

The experiment includes the deployment of a transmitter system by work boat. Divers will be on standby during the deployment and recovery of transmitter system.

• Document to obtain “Immigration In” may be submitted 24 hours prior the berthing of the vessel
• Berthing of vessels should be confirmed and their names listed in the shipping list of the Operations Department or FOTT before submitting documents to the Immigration Department
• In case of difficulty in obtaining “Immigration In”, the matter should be reported to the respective Department (Operations or FOTT) and subsequently the slot will be given to the next vessel in the queue
• Within the first three hours of the vessel being alongside berth, a copy of Immigration Inward Clearance must be submitted to the respective Department (Operations or FOTT) and Control Tower
• Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the termination of cargo operations and unberthing of the vessel without further notice, including legal actions against the ship’s local agent in Fujairah.

Vessels calling at Fujairah are urged to strictly adhere to the aforementioned practice to avoid issues or delays at the terminals.
