Temporary closure of landing steps
Friday, November 4, 2016, Hong Kong
Landing steps No.1 and 2 of Central Pier No.9 will be temporarily closed from 0900 to 1600 hours between 12 and 18 November 2016 to facilitate an exhibition of a tug which will be berthed to the landing steps during the periods mentioned above.Owners, operators, coxswains and person-in-charge of vessels are advised to use other landing facilities in the vicinity during the period of closure.

Submarine outfall inspection works in dangerous goods anchorage

From 7 November 2016 and for approximately one week, submarine outfall inspection works will be carried out [in the Western Dangerous Goods Anchorage] within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22 deg. 18.986’N / 114 deg. 07.297’E
(B) 22 deg. 18.948’N / 114 deg. 07.338’E
(C) 22 deg. 18.445’N / 114 deg. 06.804’E
(D) 22 deg. 18.484’N / 114 deg. 06.763’EThe works will be carried out by a work boat. One guard boat will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 25 metres around the work boat will be established. The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1700 hours. Vessels engaged in the works will not stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the works area at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the area.

Port releases cruise ship tariffs for 2017

The Port of Helsinki has released the following tariffs for 2017. Tariffs affecting cruise ships will rise as follows:HARBOUR DUES
Increasing from 0,1985 x NRT (max NRT used 34 000) to 0,2015 x NRT (max NRT 34 000 used)

PASSENGER DUES (if passenger terminal is required, e.g. turnarounds)
Increasing from 1,95 € per arriving & departing passenger to 1,97 € per arriving & departing passenger

PASSENGER DUES (if passenger terminal is NOT required, e.g. transit call)

Increasing from 0,975 € per arriving & departing passenger to 1,182 € per arriving & departing passenger

COMPULSORY WASTE MANAGEMENT FEE (if sewage is discharged)
Increasing from 0,1288 x NRT (min 240 € – max 3040 €) to 0,1301 x NRT (min 243 € – max 3070 €)

COMPULSORY WASTE MANAGEMENT FEE (if sewage is NOT discharged)
Increasing from 0,1610 x NRT (min 300 € – max 3800 €) to 0,1626 x NRT (min 300 € – max 3800 €)

WASTE MANAGEMENT WAITING TIME
Increasing from 74,6 € / hour when waste management exceeding 4 hours to75,35 € / hour when waste management exceeding 4 hours

MOORING
NRT 1-3000: Rising from 75,40 € to 76,15 €
NRT 3001-7500: Rising from 208,35 € to210,45 €
NRT OVER 7500: Rising from 357,75 € to361,35 €

MOORING NIGHT FEE|
Increasing from +30 % between 24:00-05:00 to+50 % between 24:00-05:00

WATER SALES (Port of Helsinki fee only – municipal water supplier fees TBC)
Increasing from 1,48 € / m³ to 1,50 € / m³
