Christmas celebrations are great chances to praise the responsibility that our companies have towards society, and prove the big difference that small actions of a CSR policy can bring. Seascape Ltd., a provider of ship spare parts, technical consultancy and shipyard services worldwide, apart from its annual donation to charities – this year to The Greek Committee for the Education of Kenyan youth ‘Kostas Dombros’ and ‘Amymoni’ for blind children – organised a Christmas party for the children of its people. Iris Liaskoni writes:

The event was a chance to cultivate relationships with colleagues and their children, and show how important is team spirit and solidarity to achieve great results, not only on a corporate but also on a social level.

The event was also a chance to show photos and to read short stories of children that these two charities help, so as to raise awareness about the social problems that some groups of people face and the contribution of their parents – as part of Seascape’s ‘family’ – to tackle these issues. The introduction to this issue took place with visual material in a simple way that showed to children that if we are working together, with small steps, we can make a significant change for the better. Seascape is thankful for the sincere and continuous support of its customers and partners since its creation, and wishes wholeheartedly a Happy New Year filled with love, peace and happiness.
