Relocation of Light Buoy for Three-Runway System construction
Monday, January 30, 2017, Hong Kong
From 6 February 2017, the light buoy “Weather 1” will be relocated about 100 metres south westward to facilitate the construction of the Three-Runway System of the Hong Kong International Airport.

The new position (WGS 84 Datum) of the light buoy will be:
22 deg. 18.271’N / 113 deg. 52.693’E

Super Bowl Sunday – hotel availability

Vessel owners and operators planning crew changes at Houston and surrounding ports are warned that hotel availability in the area is extremely limited, due to Super Bowl Sunday on 5 February.

Crew changes should be planned and scheduled with the assumption no hotel rooms will be available for the Houston area and surrounding ports.

Lock closure for maintenance works

The Kiel Canal Authority has announced that one new big lock chamber at Kiel locks will be closed for maintenance works between 0800 and 1500 hours local time on Wednesday, 1 February.

During that period, only one big lock chamber is in operation at Kiel locks.
