The [Indian] Navy will be conducting firing practice from 0800 hrs to 1430 hrs on 22 and 23 February 2017. During this period, there will be shipping movements in the Mumbai Harbour.
No anchorages will be allotted during this time. All vessels anchored in the inner harbour and PLA will be required to vacate the anchorage by midnight 21 February 2017. No ships will be allowed to be anchored in the firing area from coastal batteries at Middle Ground, Oyster Rock and Colaba Point. Under the revised Biosecurity Act 2016, the port of Eden is listed as not declared port for inspection, issuing or extending of the ship sanitation certificates and nor is the port resourced with quarantine staff.
Any vessels that are aware of their ship sanitation certificate about to expire require to renew the same at the previous overseas port as this function is no longer available at Eden. The following links give information of the Act and list Australian ports where ship sanitation certificates can be issued. https://www.legislation.gov. The WHO/IHR List of Authorized Ports to issue Ship Sanitation Certificates dated November 2016 is not updated in line with the Australian Biosecurity Act of June 2016. Temporary Loading Facility at Junk Bay |

A temporary loading facility will be established at Junk Bay. The construction and loading operation of the temporary loading facility will last for a period of approximately 30 months.
One tugboat and one dumb lighter will berth at the facility within the operation area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (I) and the adjacent shoreline for loading operation: The hours of operation will be from 0700 hours to 1900 hours. No operation will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels engaged in the operation will stay in the operation area outside the hours of operation. Temporary Loading Facility off Cha Kwo Ling |

A temporary loading facility has been established off Cha Kwo Ling. The facility has one discharging platform protruding about 10 metres seawards from the seawall. The temporary loading facility will operate for a period of approximately 30 months.
