For approximately 14 months, marine works involving dredging operations, immersed tunnel unit installation and backfilling operations will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (O): (A) 22 deg. 17.208’N / 114 deg. 11.117’E (B) 22 deg. 17.187’N / 114 deg. 11.121’E (C) 22 deg. 17.180’N / 114 deg. 11.096’E (D) 22 deg. 17.171’N / 114 deg. 11.097’E (E) 22 deg. 17.167’N / 114 deg. 11.084’E (F) 22 deg. 17.140’N / 114 deg. 11.085’E (G) 22 deg. 17.107’N / 114 deg. 11.095’E (H) 22 deg. 17.087’N / 114 deg. 11.054’E (I) 22 deg. 17.092’N / 114 deg. 11.038’E (J) 22 deg. 17.100’N / 114 deg. 11.033’E (K) 22 deg. 17.110’N / 114 deg. 11.034’E (L) 22 deg. 17.145’N / 114 deg. 11.036’E (M) 22 deg. 17.153’N / 114 deg. 11.033’E (N) 22 deg. 17.157’N / 114 deg. 11.008’E (O) 22 deg. 17.185’N / 114 deg. 11.003’EThe works will be carried out by a flotilla of vessels including one grab dredger, two hopper barges, three dumb lighters, one flat top barge and two special purpose vessels, four tugboats and two guard boats. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements. A working area of approximately 30 metres around each dredger, barge and lighter will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the dredger, barges and lighters. The hours of work will be from 0700 to 2300 hours. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work. Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations. Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution. On Saturday 3 June 2017, traffic in the Bosphorus will be suspended between 12:00 and 17:00 hours local time, due to the MASS Sailing Cup.
