Having looked at various topics of interest in recent months such as China’s emerging One Belt, One Road strategy and the growth of renewables in the global energy mix, Clarksons’ latest special seminar turned its attention to digitization.
Focusing on the people element, guest speakers were Dr Martin Stopford, who explained why shipping needs to get smart in his keynote address, Kirsi Tikka from ABS, who gave the technologist viewpoint, Jemima Harris, one of Clarksons up and coming young CPP female tanker brokers, who gave a personal perspective on the changing role of the shipbroker, and Sue Terpilowski, President of WISTA UK, co-hosts for the evening’s event.
The event was attended by some 70 Clarksons staff and invited guests generated some interesting online questions in the ensuing Q&A followed by offline networking.
