The construction of jetties involves piling and concrete structural work. The safety zone is a circular area of 30m radius centered at the jack-up barge. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft about the work.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF Channel 25 for assistance, if required.

The clam shell dredge PAULA LEE will be dredging the main navigational channel beginning on the red side of the channel working north and then continuing south on the green side of the channel.

Dredging area is between LAT/LONG 39 deg. 22`14.18″N, 75 deg. 27`40.56″W and 39 deg. 5`3.08″N, 75 deg. 11`10.84″W.

The dredge will be able to move for vessel traffic.

Vessels are requested to contact the dredge 30 minutes prior to arrival to make safe passing arrangements.

The dredge PAULA LEE can be contacted on VHF-FM channel 14 and 82.

There will be an assist vessel and a crew boat working with the dredge PAULA LEE.

Mariners are advised to proceed with caution when transiting the area.
