The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) lost 19 points earlier on today and uncertainty is the name of the game. Geopolitics remain crucial and as said in previous reports, we are now in the phase “hostilities” of a multiple kind. John Faraclas’ daily recap:
The Capers widened their losses and the BCI now stands at 1,236 – minus 74 points!
The Panamaxes’ BPI lost four points and now reads 1,619; caution…
The Supras and the Handies as a general rule when the Capers and Panamaxes dive are on the up… The BSI and BHSI stood at 1,077 – plus 16 and 626 – plus four points respectively!
The Wets were modestly down; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 641 – minus one and 563 – minus four respectively… Still a liability for all. The energy… It is the Energy stupid to paraphrase the “famous” maxim…
