TPR hosted successful Antwerp Rail School!
The last week of April, the Antwerp Rail School 2025 took place. A particularly interesting biennial organisation by UAntwerp, in collaboration with Infrabel, NMBS-SNCB, Lineas and Siemens Mobility. The School offered a very varied programme: lectures and debates on Market & Trends, Skills & Young Talent, Technology & Innovation, insights from NL, FR, IT, ES, CZ, DE, CH and GB, fascinating meetings with academics, professionals and students, and a final field visit.

Quan van der Knokke won the gold Dennie Lockefeer Chair Award 2025, with his thesis on ‘life cycle analysis for sustainable inland shipping on the South Holland waterways’. Congrats! Silver went to Anton Smidts, bronze to Audrey Clarebout.

Nike team guest-lectures
The Logistics and Distribution Management class had the pleasure of welcoming the Nike ELC team. Through an engaging business game, students applied what they learned to real-life case studies — and realized that customs is not just about regulations, but also about strategy, collaboration, and sustainability.
