HAMBURG/KIEL HSH Nordbank is making available to IB Vogt GmbH EUR 41 million in long-term project finance for the construction and operation of the Scaldia solar park in the Netherlands. IB Vogt is developing the project in collaboration with Solarfields Nederland.

The park will have a total rated output of 54.5 megawatts (MW) and is expected to commence operations this autumn. The energy produced by the solar park near Vlissingen in the southern Netherlands will supply more than 14,000 households with power for a whole year.

Company IB Vogt with headquarters in Berlin specialises in the global project development and realisation of photovoltaic power plants. The company, established in 2002, has so far realised over 680 megawatts and claims to be among Europe’s current leading photovoltaic system integrators.

“Through this financing we are underscoring our competence when it comes to familiarising ourselves with new markets very quickly and consistently advancing the expansion of our position,” said Lars Quandel, Head of Energy & Infrastructure at HSH Nordbank.
